Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group.

You will work on mechanical systems for power generation projects, including cooling water, pumps, valves, and heat exchangers, with opportunities to lead or contribute across disciplines. This full-time role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, at least 3 years of design experience, US citizenship, and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with design of mechanical systems.
• Experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects.
• Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate drawings, sketches, calculations, and analyses that meet codes and client needs.
• Develop documents in alignment with client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current with industry codes, safety culture principles, and advanced design techniques for nuclear sector.
• Produce engineering deliverables that meet QA standards and project scope.
• Establish trust with clients through clear communication and professional interactions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated designs.
• Travel to plant sites for on-site walkdowns and assessments.
