Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Nuclear Material Events Professional to support the NRC’s NMED project on the Regulatory Research team. You will collect, review, and code event data and assist with analysis and training for NRC and Agreement States.

The role requires knowledge of NRC rules and health physics, with a 9x80 schedule at the REC facility and every other Friday off. Compensation is set by level with substantial ranges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in a technical field and 2 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 0 years.
  • Bachelor of Science in a technical field and 5 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 2 years.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, review, and code nuclear material event data.
  • Provide event review, analysis, and assessment support to NRC staff.
  • Develop procedures for maintaining NMED and support software upgrades.
