Job summary

GE Vernova in Wilmington, NC seeks an engineer to perform plant thermal-hydraulic safety analyses for BWR/ABWR/BWRX projects and support reload and design applications. You will evaluate ECCS LOCA scenarios, containment response, and hydrodynamic loads, while ensuring high-quality work per regulatory standards.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in an engineering field and 1+ year TH analysis experience, with collaboration across design, licensing, and systems teams to deliver optimal customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Nuclear/Mechanical/Chemical).
• 1+ year performing Thermal Hydraulic Analysis.
• Experience with two-phase TH analysis and nuclear reactor systems.
• Familiarity with regulatory rules and quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations in ECS LOCA, containment response and loads.
• Develop and present technical data to customers and internal teams.
• Support reload and design for BWR, ABWR, and BWRX plants.
• Collaborate across teams to identify optimal customer solutions.
