Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a talented engineer to join the LOCA and Containment Team, performing plant thermal-hydraulic safety analyses for BWRs and related designs. You will contribute to reload and design applications, working with operating plants and future projects worldwide.

Responsibilities include evaluating ECCS LOCA events, containment response, and hydrodynamic loads, using TRACG/TRACE/RELAP/RETRAN, and presenting findings to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar).
• 1+ year performing Thermal Hydraulic Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical evaluations and analyses in Emergency Core Cooling System LOCA events, containment response, hydrodynamic and pressurization loads, and fuel performance.
• General knowledge in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques.
• Prepare, document and present technical data to internal/external customers.
• Ensure work complies with regulatory rules, customer requirements, and quality standards.
• Participate in process improvement and New Product Introduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with interfacing teams across disciplines to identify optimal solutions.
