Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support the BWRX-300 SMR project. You’ll contribute to mechanical system design, coordinate with site construction, and ensure deliverables meet specifications.

The role requires 8+ years in engineering, with 5+ years in nuclear design, and the ability to work in the United States, including export-controlled information access where applicable. Primary locations include Wilmington, NC or Atlanta, GA hub.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in an engineering role.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in nuclear system design activities incl. process flow diagrams and thermodynamics.
• Eligibility to work in the United States; U.S. export-controlled information access may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Mechanical Systems engineering activities supporting the BWRX-300 SMR system design and site construction coordination.
• Analyze and design work to meet system requirements and specifications.
• Review and manage Field Change Notices (FCN) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
• Provide technical advice and support solving site problems and coordinate with leadership.
• Lead technical deliverables to support design of the BWRX-300 SMR and liaise with customers and cross-functional teams.
