Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Shippingport, PA seeks a Sr. Manager of Licensing to lead all licensing activities for Extended Power Uprate projects, ensuring NRC approvals and regulatory alignment while integrating licensing commitments into project execution.

You will develop licensing strategies, coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, and Site Operations, and serve as the primary interface with NRC and industry groups, driving timely submittals and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 10+ years in engineering or projects with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on large projects.
• Strong knowledge of NRC, INPO, and industry codes/standards.
• Proven EPC / Owner’s Engineer oversight and regulatory interface experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead licensing activities for Extended Power Uprate projects and ensure NRC compliance.
• Develop licensing strategies, submittals, and responses to RAIs.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, and Site Operations to align deliverables.
• Interface with NRC, INPO, DOE, and industry peers on licensing matters.
• Direct preparation, review, and approval of LARs and safety analyses.
• Mitigate regulatory risks to support cost and schedule.
• Ensure licensing commitments are tracked and integrated into project execution.
