Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Ohio seeks a major projects licensing engineer to oversee licensing activities for power uprates at nuclear facilities. You will guide contract resources, develop licensing submittals, and coordinate with engineering across all project phases from scoping to NRC approval and site implementation.

The role requires a 10+ year nuclear licensing background, familiarity with NRC regulations, and certifications for 10 CFR 50.59 and 10 CFR 72.48.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 10 years of nuclear industry experience, including licensing.
• Experience with major regulatory licensing actions and regulator interactions.
• Certifications for 10 CFR 50.59 and 10 CFR 72.48 evaluations required.
• Strong knowledge of NRC regulations and nuclear plant systems.

Responsabilités

• Support all phases of major project licensing activities including development, review, approval and submittal of license amendments and other regulatory correspondence.
• Support regulatory acceptance, review and approval of license amendments and other regulatory submittals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for plant changes necessary for project implementation.
• Support environmental reviews associated with major licensing actions.
• Coordinate licensing activities with EPCs, OEMs, and project and site engineering.
