Vistra Nuclear Operations Company seeks a major projects licensing engineer responsible for licensing activities associated with power uprates at Vistra’s nuclear generating facilities. You will oversee contract resources, support submittals, and coordinate with engineering through all project phases from scoping to NRC approval and site implementation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 10+ years of nuclear licensing experience, including regulator interactions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of nuclear industry experience, including design engineering and nuclear licensing.
• Experience involving major regulatory licensing actions is strongly preferred, including regulator interactions.
• Full qualifications in design engineering processes are strongly preferred, including development and approval of engineering deliverables.
• Full certifications for 10 CFR 50.59 and 10 CFR 72.48 evaluations are required.
• Strong knowledge of NRC regulations, nuclear plant systems, and environmental reviews.
• Experience with industry codes and standards and regulatory guidance documents is required.

Responsabilidades

• Support all phases of major licensing activities including development, review, approval and submittal of license amendments and other regulatory correspondence.
• Support regulatory acceptance, review and approval of license amendments and other regulatory submittals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for plant changes necessary for project implementation.
• Support environmental reviews associated with major licensing actions.
• Support Vistra and contract engineering personnel to ensure quality and completeness of engineering deliverables necessary for licensing actions.
• Oversee contract EPCs responsible for development of licensing-related deliverables.
• Coordinate licensing activities with EPCs, OEMs, and project and site engineering.
• Travel as needed to industry meetings, Vistra sites, vendor facilities and NRC as required
