Job summary

hireneXus is seeking a Field Service Engineer for our nuclear measurement and radiation detection equipment client. The role involves installation, testing, and commissioning at customer sites with limited supervision, and travel within the Midwest and Central US.

You will diagnose hardware and software issues, document field activities, and collaborate with Technical Support and Engineering to resolve faults. A strong technical background and willingness to travel ~70% are required.

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude in electronics or related field.
• Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 70% within the assigned region.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and commission complex nuclear measurement equipment and systems at customer sites.
• Follow established installation and testing procedures to verify proper system functionality.
• Provide customers with an overview of installed equipment, software, and basic system operating procedures.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures by analyzing hardware, software, and system-level issues.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to restore functionality.
• Collaborate with Technical Support and Engineering to resolve complex faults.
• Prepare field service reports and documentation of completed work.
