Job summary

Sargent & Lundy invites motivated engineering students to join our Nuclear Power Group as an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer Intern for a start in summer 2027. You will support senior engineers on projects related to power plant systems, sensors, controllers, and related equipment, gaining hands-on experience across electrical, mechanical, and control theory disciplines.

You'll assist in calculations, specifications, and designs and help track project progress and data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering with strong control systems coursework.
• ABET-accredited program enrollment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist on a project team and support engineers on project work.
• Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Track project activities, progress and related data.
