Job summary

Dominion Energy's North Anna Power Station is seeking an Electrical / I&C Design Engineer (or equivalent) to join a cross-functional project team. You will evaluate plant design modifications, review engineering packages, and oversee contracted work to ensure adherence to Dominion Energy and industry standards.

The role emphasizes nuclear-specific design experience, strong electrical/ICS theory, and ability to produce clear engineering documentation and specifications.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have nuclear power plant design experience.
• Experience with Nuclear power plant design, including Electrical Distribution Systems and/or Instrumentation and Control Systems.
• Strong knowledge of control systems, power generation, and related electrical theory.

Responsibilities

• Review and/or prepare engineering products (design packages, specifications, calculations, evaluations).
• Oversee contracted engineering work for compliance with standards.
• Support factory and site acceptance testing and simulations; review procedures and observe activities.
• Interface with equipment suppliers and project stakeholders for technical reviews.
• Analyze design risk and implement mitigating strategies in designs.
• Report status to engineering leads and management on a regular basis.
• Support construction/implementation through design updates and field change evaluations.
