Job summary

Dominion Energy’s North Anna Power Station in Virginia is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern for summer 2027. You will develop technical documents, evaluate equipment trends, and propose design changes to improve station reliability while collaborating with multiple departments.

The role requires enrollment in an ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering program, a 3.0 GPA, and an anticipated graduation in December 2028 or later.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student in an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering program at a four-year college or university.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Anticipated graduation date of December 2028 or later.

Responsibilities

• Development of technical documents to evaluate equipment failures and other plant conditions.
• Evaluation of equipment performance trends including field walkdowns.
• Development of minor design changes to support station reliability improvements.
• Support development of major design changes to support long-term station reliability improvements.
• Support station departments with technical input on a variety of equipment-related concerns.
