Job summary

Dominion Energy's North Anna Power Station is seeking a 2027 Mechanical Engineering summer intern to support the Nuclear Engineering Auxiliary Systems Engineering Group on-site. You will assist Maintenance and Operations with troubleshooting, analyses, and design modifications, gaining familiarity with Nuclear Power Plant design.

You will develop technical documentation, perform field inspections, and contribute to safety and efficiency initiatives while using MS Office and adhering to safety

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student in an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering program at a four-year college or university.
• Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
• Must have an anticipated graduation date of December 2028 or Later

Responsibilities

• Support Operations and Maintenance in troubleshooting and resolving system and component issues.
• Perform analyses and evaluations that support nuclear plant operation (e.g., pump, valve, heat exchanger performance).
• Develop/Support design modification packages to improve system/component performance.
• Support field inspections of components and systems within the power plant.
