Job summary

Dominion Energy’s North Anna Power Station is seeking a 2027 Mechanical Engineering summer intern to support the Nuclear Engineering Auxiliary Systems group on-site. The intern will provide technical support, repair recommendations, and design modifications to aid planned work activities and gain familiarity with nuclear plant design.

Responsibilities include assisting with troubleshooting, analyses of pump/valve/heat exchanger performance, and preparing engineering documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering program at a four-year college or university.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required.
• Anticipated graduation date of December 2028 or later.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Maintenance and Operations on component and system level.
• Offer repair recommendations and design modifications to support planned work activities.
• Develop and maintain Engineering documentation for projects.
• Assist with field inspections of components and systems within the power plant.
• Utilize MS Office tools for analysis and reporting.
