Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer in the Washington, DC area for a hybrid role with three days in the office and two remote. You will contribute to nuclear power plant I&C projects, designing and documenting control systems, and coordinating with vendors and field teams.

The ideal candidate holds an ABET‑accredited degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, has 3+ years of engineering experience, and demonstrates strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on nuclear power plant instrumentations and controls projects as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Prepare I&C engineering calculations and design input documents for drawings and schematics.
• Mentor less experienced I&C design engineers and travel to client sites for reviews and field verification.
