S&ME is seeking a Field Geotechnical Engineer / Geologist to contribute to high-profile nuclear projects. The role involves extensive fieldwork, subsurface exploration, and data interpretation across multiple sites.

You will work on site characterization, laboratory support, and reporting for regulatory review, with significant travel and rotational schedules. Ideal candidates bring a degree in Engineering or Geology and 2 years of geotechnical or geology experience, with a preference for those

Qualifications

• Field subsurface exploration experience is required.
• Experience on nuclear projects or in highly regulated environments is a plus.
• Ability to travel and work a rotational schedule (10 days on / 4 days off).

Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of civil, geotechnical, and environmental projects with a focus on nuclear sites.
• Conduct field investigations including soil borings, drilling oversight, and monitoring well installation.
• Prepare data tables, figures, and technical reports for client and regulatory review.
