Job summary

System One is seeking a Fuel Handling Design Engineer for a contract assignment in Bellevue, WA. You will design nuclear fuel handling systems and equipment, coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring design compliance with applicable standards.

You will create 3D CAD models, perform analyses, and contribute to design reviews while supporting licensing documentation and testing programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; Systems, Chemical, Nuclear considered with relevant experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience designing complex mechanical systems, structures, and/or equipment.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design nuclear fuel handling systems and equipment from requirements through final design.
• Coordinate and review inputs from engineering and project teams.
• Support planning efforts and maintain schedule adherence for system design activities.
