Huntington Ingalls Industries, Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a Nuclear Foreman for the 2nd shift in Newport News, Virginia. The role supervises trades personnel, trains staff, and ensures quality and safety across manufacturing, installation, and testing processes.
The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus. US citizenship is required for this role; relocation is not available and telework is not eligible.
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or Apprenticeship Certification or High School with 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience or an Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Supervises semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel; assigns, coordinates, and evaluates based on skill and experience.
- Trains employees to improve quality and productivity; develops training procedures.
- Ensures compliance with drawings, procedures, and all technical aspects of the job; responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations with significant financial impact.
- Monitors job and budget performance for all shifts.
