Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory seeks a Nuclear Facility Engineer to shape the future of energy and national innovation. You will apply engineering principles for assigned nuclear facility and experiment infrastructure through analysis, design, fabrication, installation, configuration management, and operational performance support activities.

This position is located at the Materials and Fuels Complex, featuring remote work capabilities on irradiated fuels and materials with new micro-reactor testing

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering with 5 years relevant experience or an ABET-accredited program with 2 years relevant experience if an advanced degree is held.
• DOE 'L' clearance eligibility; US Citizenship is required.
• Ideal candidate has 2–4 years of nuclear experience across relevant programs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, design, maintain, modify, install, and test facility systems and process support.
• Guide operations to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
• Develop procedures for modification and operation of facilities and equipment.
• Support experiments and design reviews; manage configuration and documentation.
