Battelle Energy Alliance in Idaho Falls is seeking a senior nuclear engineer to lead the design, analysis, and safety for irradiation experiments and fuel handling. You will work with designers, analysts, and sponsors to define requirements and validate designs against codes and standards.

The role requires ABET-accredited education, potential DOE L/Q clearance, and experience with international safeguards. Multi-level postings with Level 4/5 pay bands apply.

Formación

• ABET-accredited degree in a relevant field.
• Level 4/Level 5 education/experience per policy.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOE security clearance.
• Experience with international safeguards and IAEA is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop experimental requirements for spent nuclear fuel handling.
• Apply advanced nuclear design principles and decompose objectives.
• Document designs to codes and standards and validate conformance.
• Prepare reports and peer-reviewed publications.
• Ensure testing, inspection, and quality requirements are met.
