Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an Architect to support planning, design, and modernization of research and laboratory facilities. The role sits on the Facility Design and Project Engineering team at the Idaho Falls site, operating on a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.

The ideal candidate will hold an Idaho Architecture license, a NAAB-accredited degree, and multi-level experience, with potential PMP and Q clearance.

Qualifications

• Professional Architecture License in Idaho or reciprocity within 6 months.
• NAAB-accredited B.Arch or M.Arch degree.
• Level 3: 5 years related experience or Level 4: 9 years related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Q clearance (US Citizenship).
• May require PMP within two years of selection.

Responsabilités

• Perform architectural design for building and facility projects, including design concepts, space planning, and production of drawings and specs.
• Ensure designs meet building codes, accessibility, life safety, and DOE/BEA standards.
• Lead design reviews, verification walk-downs, and constructability reviews as primary architectural point of contact.
• Coordinate architectural deliverables with engineering, vendors, and subcontractors for integrated, code-compliant designs.
• Provide technical leadership and decision-making for architectural design with project management inputs.
