Job summary

SIMCO, LLC operates the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and is seeking a qualified Security Police Officer to support protective force operations at a nuclear facility. Responsibilities include protecting nuclear/radiological materials, employees, visitors, and information, with incident response and coordination with first responders.

Required: high school diploma or equivalency, 21+, valid driver's license, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Proficient in MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform Protective Force operations at WIPP and provide physical security for a nuclear facility.
• Respond to security and non-security incidents and coordinate with first responders.
• Conduct patrols, control access, and search materials/vehicles; document incidents.
