Job summary

SIMCO, LLC, the managing and operating contractor for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in Carlsbad, NM, seeks a qualified Personnel Security (PERSEC) Manager. You will lead PERSEC and Badging, UFV&A, and related security functions.

You will mentor staff, review security procedures, and ensure DOE requirements are met across CBFO personnel. Ideal candidates possess a DOE clearance or the ability to obtain one, along with PERSEC experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a DOE clearance or ability to obtain DOE clearance.
• PERSEC experience required (2+ years).
• Supervisory experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage WIPP PERSEC and Badging programs.
• Oversee UFVA program and other security duties.
• Maintain and update PERSEC procedures and databases.
• Conduct annual assessments of PERSEC programs.
• Oversee processing of security clearances and terminations.
• Ensure background reviews for employment suitability are completed.
