Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) seeks a Nuclear Facility Manager to lead safety, operations, and continuous improvement for assigned nuclear facilities. You will set strategic visions, oversee licensed operators, and manage budgets and staffing to meet safety and mission goals.

The ideal candidate has DOE experience, leadership credentials, and an engineering background, with the ability to obtain a DOE L clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 7 years relevant experience in nuclear facility operations or supervisory roles.
• Must have or previously had a Senior Reactor Operator license/certification OR Navy equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years leadership experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE 'L' clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support new reactor demonstrations.
• Ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of the reactor.
• Maintain a strong nuclear safety culture across all shifts and departments.
• Oversee licensed reactor operators and technical staff, including training and certification.
• Manage plant budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation.
• Ensure physical security, cybersecurity, and material control/accountability for nuclear materials.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Collaborate with engineering on plant modifications and asset management.
• Provide leadership and coordination for support organizations addressing nuclear facility issues.
• Ensure MSAs/RAs/ORRs requirements are met.
• Coordinate, support, and subcontract work in assigned facility.
