Job summary

General Matter is seeking a seasoned General Site Foreman to lead a crew of laborers and carpenters on a major project in the United States. You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement to maintain site organization, safety, and schedule adherence from installation through start of production.

The role requires extensive experience in mechanical piping construction, crew supervision, and strong communication skills to resolve day-to-day challenges while ensuring

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical piping construction experience.
• 15+ years experience managing construction crews or subcontractors.
• Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred.
• OSHA 30hr certified is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all construction site maintenance for the project site and liaises between engineering, estimating, and workforce to ensure contract compliance.
• Directly responsible for supervising all site laborers and carpenters for site coordination.
• Plans work methods, materials, and equipment needs; reviews daily schedule with reports and updates weekly.
• Coordinates with internal equipment team and external vendors to ensure production within budget and schedule.
• Coordinates with departments to ensure inspections are completed within requested timeframes.
• Promotes strict adherence to safety and process controls; identifies training needs on the jobsite.
