General Matter is seeking a seasoned General Site Foreman to lead a crew of laborers and carpenters on a major project in the United States. You will coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement to maintain site organization, safety, and schedule adherence from installation through start of production.

Qualifications

About This Role

The General Site Foreman work s closely with members of the project management, infrastructure engineering, project controls and procurement departments from installation through start of production. Th is role manages a team of laborers and carpenters to keep general project site organized and clean . This role specifically includes scheduling trade workers in resolving day-to-day construction issues, performing day to day inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications while tracking project schedule and budget. This role work s directly with the Construction Manager , General Site Superintendent, and Technical Project Manager .

Responsibilities

  • Supervisesallconstruction site maintenancefor theproject site and liaises between engineering, estimating, and workforce to ensure project compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
  • Directly responsiblefor supervising allsite laborers and carpenters for site coordination.
  • General upkeep of site restrooms, disposal bins, safety system install/maintenance,
  • Supervises sitelogisticsof the project site for deliveries, site activities, adjacent project coordination, and field scopeswith project team and trade subcontractors.
  • Plans work methods, materials, equipmentneedsand work schedule for assigned project work. Reviews daily work schedule with direct reports and updates weekly schedule from project feedback.
  • Reviews and understands the project specifications to support job set up activities. Works with work crews, field engineers, design engineers, local utility companies, and local statutory agencies to safely manage piping scopes on job site.
  • Forecasts the work schedule toidentifypossible issuesand provides technical or scheduling recommendations to mitigate production issues.
  • Provides technical input toidentifyand resolve project risks including construction methods, work plan and material requirements,safetyand schedule activities. Documents daily activities and meeting notes using Company approved document methods.
  • Presents production work plan duringinitialproject meeting to ensure all project crews and leaders are in alignment.
  • Coordinates with internal equipment team and external vendors to ensure that project work is equipped withappropriate equipmentand material quantities to complete production within assigned budget and schedule.
  • Coordinates with internal and external departments to ensure all mandated inspections are completed within requestedtimeframes.
  • Supports and promotes strict adherence to safety and process controlsregardingoperating equipment, worksitesafetyand documentation requirements. Responsibility includes recommending training needsidentifiedon jobsite.
  • Supervises sub-contractor production and workforceregardingassigned project work. Recommends work schedule or work method adjustmentsregardingsub-contractor activities, as needed.
  • Coordinatesprojectclose out activities in line with Company standards and AHJ checklist requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of Company values and strategic plan.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of mechanical piping construction experiencerequired.
  • Experience with treatment, manufacturing and/or process plant construction is preferred.
  • 15+years experienceof managingconstruction crews and/or subcontractors
  • Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
  • Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • OSHA 30hr certified is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skillsrequired.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction site equipment operation and maintenance requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proven ability to enforce project safety programs.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract specific plans and specifications.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data,establishfacts, and draw valid conclusions.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is$95,000–$130,000 annually.

Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and may be adjusted based on market conditions, business needs, or other factors. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
