Job summary

General Matter is seeking a Construction Manager to lead nuclear facility construction from pre-construction through turnover to operations in Richland, WA. You will supervise field work, coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and QA teams to deliver safely, on time, and within budget.

Role requires extensive industrial construction background, DOE/DOE Hanford familiarity, and DOE Q clearance or ability to obtain. Strong leadership and safety culture are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 15+ years industrial construction experience.
• 5+ years nuclear facility or DOE site construction.
• Active DOE Q clearance or ability to obtain Q clearance.
• DOE Hanford Site or other DOE nuclear facilities experience preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in CM/Engineering preferred.
• STS certification preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction work with engineering and project management.
• Coordinate field scopes with project schedule and safety standards.
• Ensure site logistics, deliveries, and activities align with plan.
• Plan work methods, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear safety basis documents and work packages.
• Identify risks, provide scheduling and technical mitigation.
• Present work plan in project meetings with teams.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams for resources.
• Oversee inspections and quality verifications per DOE and NQA-1.
