Job summary

General Matter is seeking a General Site Foreman to lead a team of laborers and carpenters from installation through start of production. You will schedule trade workers, oversee daily site operations, ensure plans and specs are followed, and manage schedule and budget in collaboration with the Construction Manager and project team.

The role requires 15+ years of crew/subcontractor leadership, strong safety knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical piping construction experience.
• Experience with treatment, manufacturing and/or process plant construction preferred.
• 15+ years in managing construction crews and/or subcontractors.
• Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
• STS certification preferred; OSHA 30hr preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specs.
• Commitment to safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction site maintenance and coordinate with engineering, estimating and workforce.
• Direct supervision of site laborers and carpenters for site coordination.
• Maintain site restrooms, disposal bins, and safety systems.
• Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs and weekly schedules.
• Review project specs and coordinate with engineers, utility companies and agencies.
• Forecast schedules and provide scheduling recommendations to mitigate issues.
• Provide input to identify risks and document daily activities and meetings.
• Coordinate with equipment teams and vendors to meet budget and schedule.
• Ensure mandated inspections are completed on time; promote safety and controls.
• Support project closeout activities and align with company standards.
