Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Ecologist to support nuclear environmental licensing nationwide. You will engage regulatory agencies, gather data on site visits, and stay current with environmental regulations, bringing expertise to complex analyses.

The role involves preparing reports, presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences, and occasionally conducting fieldwork in select locations, including Naperville, IL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in environmental consulting, nuclear power, or a related field is required.
• Working knowledge of ESA, NEPA, MBTA, BGEPA, etc.
• Experience with federal or state regulatory agencies.
• Experience developing technical reports and supporting regulatory reviews.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency using MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ability to travel/work in the field 5% of the time with 3-4 day trips.

Responsibilities

• Environmental reviews to assess potential impact on ter. and aquatic resources; prepare reports per NRC and NEPA guidelines.
• Gather environmental data during site visits and support technical content for reports.
• Interact with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and the public; present complex information to diverse audiences.
• Develop and implement environmental protection measures and conduct terrestrial, aquatic, and protected-resource evaluations.
