Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a Nuclear Engineering Manager in Minnesota to lead engineering personnel across operation and maintenance of the company’s nuclear stations. You will drive performance evaluations, coaching, and priority setting to ensure safety, reliability, and schedule adherence.

You will oversee equipment reliability programs, coordinate with industry groups, and support site and fleet budgets, while fostering staff development and bench strength in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Eight years related experience including two years of supervisory experience or equivalent senior technical or lead role.
• Five years of nuclear experience preferred.
• SRO license or certification preferred.
• Management training or education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide site leadership for identification and resolution of equipment reliability and engineering issues.
• Provide leadership and coaching to engineering staff members.
• Interface with management to support day-to-day plant operations and maintenance.
• Provide leadership and oversight for Equipment Reliability and Engineering programs and initiatives.
• Support development and management for Site and Fleet budgets.
• Engage with INPO, NRC, EPRI to align standards and improvements.
