Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a senior engineering leader to manage the team responsible for operation and maintenance of its nuclear stations. You will drive performance, safety, and reliability through strategic planning and hands-on leadership.

This role emphasizes developing staff capabilities, coaching engineers, and aligning activities with site and fleet objectives. Hybrid work is available with on-site collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Eight years of related experience including two years in a supervisory role.
• Five years of nuclear experience preferred; professional certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide site leadership for equipment reliability and engineering issues and strategic planning.
• Coach and evaluate engineering staff; enforce standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with management to support day-to-day plant operations and maintenance.
• Oversee Equipment Reliability and Engineering programs and budgets.
• Lead Emergency Response Teams and support outage functions.
• Support development and management of O&M and capital budgets.
• Interface with INPO, NRC, EPRI and implement industry standards.
