Arizona Public Service invites engineers to join Palo Verde's Legacy Engineering Program, a 12‑month orientation and training cohort that rotates through engineering and site departments to prepare you for assignment in a dedicated work group.

A four year Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution is required, with knowledge of basic engineering principles, analysis techniques and problem solving developed through coursework and practical projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply basic discipline engineering principles, practices, and theories.
  • Use commonly applied engineering approaches and calculations.
  • Problem analysis/resolution techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the analysis and preparation of data, technical reviews and evaluations to aid decision making.
  • Assists in preparing engineering plans, designs, specifications, cost estimates, and scheduling.
  • Interfaces with customers and other departments to ensure project objectives meet requirements, budget and schedule.
  • Provides technical and field support within areas of specialty; troubleshoots and initiates corrective action plans.
  • Participates in preparation of business cases and operational plans for projects.
  • Contacts customers and management to present technical data and results of designs and studies.
  • Maintains awareness of evolving technology and engineering developments.
