Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) invites qualified engineers to join the Legacy Engineering Program at Palo Verde. The program features a comprehensive orientation of about 12 months, blending on-the-job training, site rotations, classroom instruction, and expert briefings.

Graduates are assigned to a technical work group after completion. A four-year Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic engineering principles, practices and theories.
• Ability to apply engineering approaches and calculations.
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analysis and preparation of data, technical reviews, and trend analyses to aid decision making.
• Assist in preparing engineering plans, designs, specifications, cost estimates, scheduling and studies.
• Interface with customers and departments to ensure objectives meet requirements, budget, and schedule.
• Provide technical and field support; troubleshoot deficiencies and initiate corrective actions.
• Contribute to business cases and operational plans for project implementation.
• Communicate results of designs, studies, or approaches to management and customers.
• Stay updated on technology and industry developments to maintain engineering expertise.
