Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group seeks a senior electrical engineer to contribute to design and review of nuclear power plant systems, including modification packages, drawings, analyses, specifications, vendor evaluations, and studies. The role includes leading project teams, developing cost estimates, interfacing with clients, and presenting progress.

Hybrid work requires in-office three days per week in the United States.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10 or more years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations that apply to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants.
• PE license is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Modify packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Prepare and review functional mechanical drawings for nuclear power plant systems.
• Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support plant modifications and operation.
• Prepare procurement documents and technical specifications for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Study options for modifications to operating plants.
• Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client work scopes.
• Interface with clients at office or plant sites and present engineering task status.
• Lead engineering project teams.
