Job summary

X Energy, LLC seeks an Electrical Construction Field Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN to plan, coordinate, and monitor electrical construction activities in accordance with nuclear quality and regulatory requirements. The role interfaces with design engineering, construction management, superintendents, foremen, and contractors to interpret technical documents and develop installation plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or verifiable experience in lieu of degree).
Experience in heavy construction or nuclear engineering with field electrical experience.
Knowledge of DoE orders, NRC, and nuclear standards.

Responsibilities

Reviews contractor projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
Interpret electrical design drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, conduit/cable routing, and instrumentation loop diagrams.
Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to align with schedules.
Enforces policies and field procedures established by construction management.
Supports Electrical Field Engineers, Foremen, and craft professionals in interpreting engineering documents.
Maintain project document control and ensure work activities use latest documents.
