Job summary

xenergy is seeking an Electrical Construction Field Engineer to plan, coordinate, and monitor electrical construction in a nuclear project environment. The role interfaces with design engineering, construction management, superintendents, foremen, and contractors to interpret technical docs, develop work packages, and ensure timely, safe, and compliant field execution.

The position emphasizes accurate quantity tracking, document control, inspection/test plan implementation, and proper turnover

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Construction, Nuclear, or a related engineering discipline; verifiable experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience in heavy construction or nuclear engineering with field electrical construction.
• Working knowledge of electrical construction, power distribution, instrumentation installation, nuclear facility requirements, DOE/NRC standards.
• Strong communication, organizational, and risk-management skills with the ability to interpret electrical plans and specs.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
• Safety-focused with ethics and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Reviews contractor projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
• Interprets electrical design drawings, single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, conduit and cable routing drawings, and loop diagrams.
• Coordinates the construction operations impact on external interfaces to align with overall schedules.
• Enforces policies, procedures and work rules established by field construction management.
• Maintains project document control and ensures use of latest documents.
• Develops and follows integrated installation plans for cross-discipline installations.
