Job summary

X Energy, LLC is seeking an Electrical Construction Field Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN. The role coordinates between design, construction management, and field crews to ensure safe, compliant, and on-schedule electrical construction with thorough documentation for commissioning.

Responsibilities include interpreting design documents, developing installation plans, enforcing site procedures, and supporting quality control and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Construction/Nuclear engineering.
• Experience in heavy construction or nuclear engineering with field experience in electrical construction.
• Knowledge of electrical construction, power distribution, instrumentation installation, and nuclear facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor projections and schedules for workforce, materials, and equipment.
• Interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and installation plans.
• Develop and maintain work packages and installation plans with field teams.
• Ensure quality control, document control, and inspection/test plan implementation.
• Support in developing accurate construction progress reports and forecasts.
