Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Contract Specialist to support our Nuclear market, handling the full lifecycle of procuring materials, equipment, and services for assigned projects. You will develop, review, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers, serving as the main contact for vendors and the project team to ensure compliance and performance.

This role involves cross-functional collaboration with procurement, engineering, and site teams, driving best practices in supplier selection, cost control

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management or related field with 2+ years’ contract & supply chain experience (military veterans encouraged).
• Experience with RFP processes, contract development/negotiation and procurement execution.
• Experience collaborating with engineers, estimators, buyers, logistics and expediting in procurement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and negotiate terms and conditions of supplier contracts.
• Manage supplier contracts and relationships to meet standards, specifications and client requirements.
• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, and reputation.
• Prepare/RFPs and evaluate proposals to meet project constraints of budget and schedule.
• Assist in development of company-wide procurement templates and leverage vendors for cost savings.
• Escalate and resolve complex contract issues and provide guidance to procurement staff.
