Job summary

Kiewit Supply Network is seeking an entry-level procurement professional to negotiate and administer supplier contracts, purchase high-quality materials at best costs, and maintain cost records and supplier evaluations.

The role supports construction-related procurement across multiple markets, with travel/relocation as needed and a path toward broader procurement responsibilities within the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management or related degree preferred.
• 0-3 years’ experience in an engineering and/or construction related role preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel)
• General knowledge of database utilization
• SAP Experience a plus
• Basic knowledge of all areas of procurement, including procurement execution, estimating, expediting, offsite supplier quality and site purchasing preferred
• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
• Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
• Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives
• Purchase the highest quality materials at the lowest possible cost in correct amounts per specifications and drawings
• Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities and the supplier’s reputation and history
• Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine needs for changes
• Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services
