Job summary

Kiewit Supply Network is seeking a Senior Project Procurement Manager to lead all procurement activities for complex EPC projects in the Nuclear market. You will develop and execute procurement plans, manage budgets, schedules, and high‑stakes contracts, while coordinating with engineering, construction and legal teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in procurement for EPC projects, nuclear experience preferred, and a proven leadership track record.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management or equivalent.
• Must have experience as a Project Procurement Manager – Supply Chain for EPC projects, Nuclear market preferred.
• Minimum 10+ years in Engineering, Construction or related field.
• Legal/transactional management experience preferred (5+ years).
• 8+ years of negotiation experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management and customer relationship skills.
• Advanced knowledge in risk evaluation, claims mitigation, and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

• Lead all procurement activities for assigned EPC projects and develop project procurement plans.
• Manage project supply chain budget and procurement schedules.
• Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, subcontracts and services.
• Negotiate critical contracts and resolve commercial issues with stakeholders.

Position Overview

The Project Procurement Manager is responsible for leading all functional procurement activities for assigned engineering, procurement, and construction projects. This position develops and executes the project procurement plan, manages the project supply chain budget, oversees procurement schedules and daily workflows, and ensures equipment, materials, subcontracts, and services are procured in accordance with project cost, schedule, quality, and contractual requirements.

The Project Procurement Manager serves as the primary procurement representative to project leadership and works closely with Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Legal, suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. This individual leads critical negotiations, develops supply chain risk mitigation plans, and provides leadership and development to assigned procurement and supply chain personnel.

Kiewit Supply Network specializes in providing comprehensive procurement services to clients across the construction and engineering industries in multiple markets, including transportation; water/wastewater; power; oil, gas and chemical; building; and mining. Location

This position could be based out of Lenexa, KS or Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement with identification of mandatory and recommended prime contract flow‑down clauses for incorporation into vendor contract templates, and work with Procurement Managers to develop/review project‑specific templates.
• Review project contract templates for adherence to project requirements.
• Assist in the development of company‑wide procurement templates.
• Provide as‑needed training on negotiation, contracts, and terms and conditions.
• Assist in negotiating high‑risk contracts for various projects.
• Provide negotiation support to project teams and operate as initial legal review.
• Serve as a liaison between the procurement team and project attorney(s) to negotiate and resolve commercial issues and move contracts forward to execution.
• Resolve escalated, complex, or disputed contract issues.
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships and manage supplier‑specific vendor template negotiations.
• Support procurement staff meetings and provide legal communication to the team as needed.
• Interface with business, legal, risk, tax, suppliers, and internal procurement departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management or equivalent degree or military/education experience combination.
• Must have experience as a Project Procurement Manager – Supply Chain for EPC projects. Experience as a Project Procurement Manager – Supply Chain for Nuclear market with a proven track record of successfully executed projects strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Construction or equivalent work/field.
• Legal training or transactional/commercial management experience of 5+ years preferred.
• 8+ years negotiation experience.
• Detail-oriented, highly motivated, effective time management skills, and excellent customer service and relationship‑building skills.
• Advanced knowledge in risk evaluation, claims mitigation, and dispute resolution preferred.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.
