Job summary

General Matter is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead nuclear facility construction from pre-construction through turnover to operations. You will oversee planning, scheduling, safety oversight, and coordination with engineers, subcontractors, and DOE personnel to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

The role requires extensive experience in regulated nuclear construction environments, DOE safety standards, and a proven ability to drive complex projects

Qualifications

• 15+ years of industrial construction experience in regulated environments.
• 5+ years leading nuclear/DOE construction projects.
• Experience on DOE Hanford Site or other DOE nuclear facilities.
• Active DOE Q clearance or ability to obtain Q clearance.
• Experience with nuclear facility construction safety protocols and DOE-mandated programs.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field work and liaise between engineering and project management to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Coordinate construction field scopes to align with project schedule and safety requirements.
• Plan work methods, materials, equipment, and schedules for assigned project work.
• Review project specifications, nuclear safety basis documents, and work packages to support setup activities.
• Maintain project records and facilitate timely inspections and quality verifications.
• Support and promote strict adherence to nuclear safety culture and procedures.
