Job summary

Standard Nuclear is seeking an on-site Operations Manager in Richland, WA to lead a major advanced fuel production project. You will own the schedule, coordinate technical stakeholders, manage risks, and drive execution from installation through commissioning to handoff.

The ideal candidate has hands-on project management experience in nuclear or regulated environments, strong organization, and the ability to navigate multi-team coordination across engineering, operations, vendors, and partner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10+ years in project management, manufacturing startup, commissioning, or field engineering.
  • Experience managing schedules, action trackers, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience coordinating installation or commissioning of manufacturing equipment or process systems.
  • Ability to read and work with technical documentation and installation plans.
  • Experience working with engineering, operations, maintenance, facilities, quality, safety, vendors and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated project schedule for equipment installation, module readiness, commissioning activities, and operational handoff.
  • Develop and contribute to project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring milestones are achieved.
  • Track milestones, dependencies, risks, blockers, and critical path items.
  • Maintain action trackers, issue logs, readiness checklists, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Coordinate daily/weekly execution priorities with site teams and partners.
  • Escalate risks early and drive resolution with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate installation and commissioning activities for equipment, modules, and systems.
  • Track delivery, readiness, documentation, punch lists, and commissioning requirements.
  • Support readiness reviews, walkdowns, field checks, and transition planning to operation.
  • Ensure inputs, owners, documentation, and follow-up actions are clearly identified.
  • Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and per project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Framatome and partner teams to support execution.
  • Translate technical requirements into practical field plans.
  • Assist troubleshooting during installation, testing, turnover, and commissioning.
  • Complete and organize installation checklists, commissioning records, and turnover packages.
  • Support adoption of operating procedures and programs across partner systems.
  • Track defects, corrective actions, and closeout requirements.
  • Keep project documentation current and accessible for turnover.
  • Support pre-startup checks and project closeout activities.
  • Capture lessons learned and share insights with internal teams.
