Job summary

General Matter is seeking a Construction Quality Control/Assurance Specialist in Richland, WA. The role ensures QA/QC for all construction scopes, coordinating with project management, engineering and procurement from pre-construction through turnover to operations.

Must oversee contractor quality, perform system verifications, and document nonconformances and corrective actions. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma, 5+ years of field construction QA/QC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma preferred.
• 5+ years of field construction experience supervising QA/QC inspections for large capital projects may be used in lieu of education.
• Experience with quality requirements for installation and fabrication of process piping systems per ASME B31.3.
• Experience performing leak tests per ASME B31.3.
• DOE clearance or ability to obtain site clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identifying risks and discrepancies at the project site during daily site walks. Documents findings, evaluations and inspections using company procedures.
• Provides oversight surveillance of contractors to ensure they follow and document quality affecting activities per company procedures.
• Performs system verifications on completed systems to assure correct installation per contract design specifications.
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
• Tracks nonconformances, condition reports and corrective actions through closure.
