Job summary

LLNL is seeking a Construction Manager to lead complex, mission-critical projects within Site 300. You will oversee planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout, coordinating with facility operations, engineering, ES&H, and DOE stakeholders.

This role requires on-site presence and experience with nuclear or security-sensitive facilities. The ideal candidate will manage safety, quality, and schedule while mentoring teams and aligning with PMO standards and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Significant leadership of construction or infrastructure projects including renovations and site development.
• Experience in high-hazard, nuclear, security-sensitive or operational facilities; DOE/ES&H knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate complex construction projects with subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders.
• Provide project lifecycle management from planning to closeout; ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Define scope, schedules, budgets, contracts, risks, and controls; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate activities in active, high-hazard facilities, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
• Develop safety and quality plans; manage inspections, testing, and commissioning.
