Job summary

Framatome is seeking a Component Analysis Engineer in Cranberry Township, PA. You will perform analyses (hand and FEA) of pressure boundary components under normal and faulted conditions, and work on diverse engineering tasks.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5+ years' experience, and PE license. You will apply ASME Code Section III Div 1, fatigue analysis, reactor vessel internals knowledge, and ANSYS.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering required; other related degrees may be accepted depending on role.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Sec III, Div 1.
• Nuclear industry experience is required.
• Professional Engineering license required or in process.
• Strong fatigue analysis knowledge, including high/low cycle fatigue.
• Reactor Vessel internals knowledge highly preferred.
• Experience with finite element analysis using ANSYS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to convey technical data clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and lead when needed.
• Strong problem identification and self-checking mindset.
• Proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses, including hand calculations and finite element methods, for pressure boundary components under normal and faulted conditions.
• Contribute to design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, and field task execution.
• Review department work products, risk assessments, FMEA, and Apparent Cause Analyses.
• Propose solutions and autonomously execute assignments with supervision when needed.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations and engineering standards.
• Develop and apply methods to provide added-value solutions for customers.
• Engage in technical communications with internal customers.
