Job summary

Framatome in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Component Engineer for a full-time onsite role. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of related experience are required, with advanced CAD, FEA, and CFD skills.

You will take products from drawing to delivery, ensure compliance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ASTM standards, and collaborate on nuclear projects with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Advanced level of CAD/FEA/CFD and programming skills.
• Component/Structural Design from drawing through delivery.
• Experience with nuclear projects (DOE/DOD) is a plus.
• Familiarity with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs non-standard engineering assignments in design, development, analysis, and testing.
• Works autonomously with minimal instruction.
• Ensures compliance with government regulations and engineering standards.
