Job summary

Orano USA in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, invites a Communications Intern to support the development and implementation of our communication strategies for Project IKE, a multibillion-dollar uranium enrichment facility. Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mass communications, journalism, public relations, media studies, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience or coursework in at least two of communications, public relations, media, journalism.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear narratives.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple workstreams.
• Familiar with using AI for communications tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Professional maturity in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist corporate community engagement with schools, colleges, universities, and municipalities.
• Attend public meetings relevant to Project IKE.
• Write and edit external communication materials, including press releases and social posts.
• Support and attend regional events involving Orano’s Project IKE or corporate teams.
• Monitor and help manage the organization’s public image and media inquiries.
• Ensure adherence to branding, messaging, and graphics requirements.
• Create and update internal communications content.
• Assess, format and report actionable metrics.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
