Job summary

nVent in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a production and manufacturing engineering support professional. You will fix equipment issues, develop ideas, and drive safety and lean improvements in a fast-paced, high-output environment.

The role involves layout planning, testing of automated equipment, and developing work instructions to streamline production and ensure smooth transitions for new products into standard production.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training).
• 2-years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with Automated Manufacturing Equipment and End of Line testing.

Responsibilities

• Support production and manufacturing engineering by fixing equipment issues and driving safety improvements.
• Assist with layout planning, installation, testing, and qualification of automated and semi-automated equipment.
• Develop and document work instructions; support testing and functional testing processes.
• Assist in transitioning new products into standard production with training and support.
• Contribute to Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts with vendors/suppliers.
