Job summary

nVent is seeking a results-driven manufacturing leader to oversee daily production activities, drive efficiency, and foster a lean, collaborative culture. You will manage supervisors, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and champion continuous improvement across safety, quality, and delivery goals.

The role emphasizes development of talent, budget stewardship, and active communication with HR and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field is a plus
• 5 years’ experience in manufacturing operations or distribution environment
• 3 years’ experience in a leadership position
• Lean environment experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and performance management for production supervisors and manufacturing teams to meet safety, service, cost and productivity goals
• Drive efficiency and collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve results
• Foster a continuous improvement culture through problem solving and employee involvement
• Oversee talent acquisition, development and performance management plans
• Develop open lines of communication to monitor attitudes and address concerns with HR input
• Track daily performance and verify countermeasures and recovery plans are used for misses
• Recommend changes to production capability, tooling, machine replacement and staffing to improve productivity
• Manage departmental budget (expenses and capital) and safeguard costs
• Promote nVent culture and values; be highly visible and encourage hands-on problem solving
