Job summary

nVent in Blaine, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own projects from concept to implementation on-site. You will lead RCCA investigations, support CAPEX initiatives, and drive lean improvements across manufacturing processes.

You will mentor technicians, collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and operations teams, and ensure safe, efficient production with high quality standards. This role is onsite five days a week.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Experience evaluating, improving, and implementing manufacturing processes.
  • Experience leading RCCA investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks and experience developing tooling, fixtures, or manufacturing aids.
  • Experience working with enterprise systems, including MRP/ERP and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing projects from concept through implementation with plans, timelines, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Analyze processes, production workflows, equipment utilization, and layouts to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Support CAPEX projects with cost justifications, ROI analyses, and equipment validation.
  • Design and implement fixtures, tooling, and process aids to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Capture data to address issues; perform RCCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate ECOs, update work instructions, and ensure changes are reflected in production.
  • Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and operations to meet objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to technicians and operators.
